In more than a century of its proud and historic legacy, the University of Delhi organized its first-ever Literature Festival, the Delhi University Literature Festival (DULF) guided by the theme ‘राष्ट्र प्रथमः अनेकता में एकता’ ‘Nation First: Unity in Diversity.’ Envisioned by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Yogesh Singh, and brought to life through the collective dedication of the DU community, DULF marked the genesis of a vibrant literary Parampara.

Hosted from February 12th to 14th, 2026, across the iconic North Campus venues, including the Rugby Stadium, Multipurpose Sports Complex, and the Shankarlal Concert Hall, the festival stood as a testament to the university's enduring commitment to intellectual excellence. Deeply rooted in India’s civilizational wisdom, DULF 1.0 remained connected to the timeless spirit of Bharatiyata.

The Delhi University Literature Festival (DULF) received significant academic and organisational support from the Delhi School of Journalism (DSJ). Dr. Sanjay Verma, OSD, served as Convener of the Printing and Publishing Committee, leading the production of five newsletters curated by DSJ faculty members, and students.

DSJ also played a key role in technical and media coverage, with over 100 student volunteers managing photography, videography, and on-ground coordination, including full coverage of cultural events at the Rugby Stadium and performances at Shankar Lal Concert Hall. Media outreach was enhanced through collaboration with Akashvani Through its editorial, technical, and cultural contributions, DSJ emerged as a key institutional pillar in the successful conduct of DULF 1.0.
